Early life
Palomino, raised by his mother, credits César Carneiro, a capoeira expert, as a key figure in his journey, viewing him as a father figure. According to Palomino, watching Carneiro, who appeared in films like Only the Strong, inspired him to practice capoeira, a Brazilian martial art blending dance, acrobatics, and music.
As a teenager, Palomino was introduced to Carneiro by a middle-school friend, after which Carneiro began mentoring him. Carneiro admired Palomino's resilience, stating, "I love tough people." He appreciated the young man's determination and described his capoeira style as strong and energetic, which Carneiro believed he could guide in a positive direction.[2]
